Boomer Leopold

Boomer Leopold was named Chief Financial Officer in June 2020. In this role, Boomer oversees all aspects of fiscal management for the organization. He is responsible for corporate financial strategy, planning, and operations. His team oversees various aspects of organizational reporting, analysis, and financial support.

Boomer is a Certified Public Accountant and brings more than 26 years of public and private accounting, planning, operations, and financial experience to his role. He started his career with Arthur Andersen as an auditor specializing in health care and progressed through several different organizations in various operating, accounting, and finance roles before joining Optum in 2003 as a controller.

Boomer graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and finance.
