Chief Operating Officer
Dean Myers was named Chief Operating Officer in April 2023. In this role, Dean Myers oversees the Operations, Quality Assurance, Training, Enterprise Practice Management, Product Process Improvement, and Client Services Support teams to ensure that Optum products, services, and processes meet the needs of workers' compensation and auto no-fault clients.
Dean brings more than 31 years’ experience in the healthcare industry in various client-facing and technology roles and is often called upon to strategize and resolve issues for key clients. He has been with Optum since 2005 and has held critical management roles within the project management, IT infrastructure, and strategic client implementation areas.
Prior to joining Optum, Dean served in various project and leadership roles for United HealthCare, a division of UnitedHealth Group, supporting multiple business lines, as well as the Human Resource Information Systems team, and was the Director of IT at Fiserv Pharmacy Solutions.
