Chris Palko was named SVP, Operations and Support, in January 2026. In this role, Chris leads a broad portfolio of teams dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and operational performance. These include Client Implementation, which is responsible for new client launches, product additions and account enhancements, as well as the Medical Bill Review, Pharmacy Bill Review, Ancillary Services, Quality Assurance and the PPO Network Services teams that assist our partners with daily operational requests. Chris also heads up the Client Support Services, VitalPoint® Support, and Operations Support teams, which offer issue resolution and solutions for both internal and external partners.
Chris has more than 15 years of experience with Optum, including over 6 years on the Client Implementation team, where he personally led new client implementations and migrations with combined revenues exceeding $500 million. Chris began his career at Optum in an operational leadership role and has consistently served in a hands-on, working manager capacity throughout his tenure, combining strategic oversight with deep operational expertise.

Chris’s combination of interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills has played a pivotal role in building positive, long-lasting relationships throughout his tenure at Optum.
